Kiba Park (North)

Kiba Park is home to two very great playgrounds, along with long running trails, open grass, trees and more. Located just north of the famous bridge in Kiba Park is one awesome jungle gym. Unlike the playground just south of the bridge, this one isn't covered by the trees and will get direct sunlight. Although there is shaded seating for the parents, yay!

Three Types of Slides Another super awesome playground, compact with everything a kid could need.

What really made this playground something special was the many different types of slides. There is a spiral slide, a curved slide, and a traditional straight slide.

Riley's favorite was the spiral slide. The stairs up the second floor are easily accessible to make an endless repeat of giggles and excitement.

But before Riley could ride slides we stuck to the classic, metal strait slide. The one at this park is unique because it basically slides down to ground level. Makes it perfect for toddlers just learning out to slide and might not be able to stop themselves.

However, there aren't really any good stairs up to the straight slide. Rather the toddler has to climb up a few levels, which is no problem from a 1.5-year-old, but might be a little difficult for anyone younger. In the end, all that extra struggle and time getting up did seem to make the slide that much more fun.

Lastly, if your kid doesn't like spirals and straight slides, there is of course the curved baby slide. It basically has one curve in it. It starts off pretty wide but tapers off towards the end. This made for some interesting times when more than one kid tries sliding at the same time.

Juno's Favorite Running between all the slides. We would go from the spiral to the slanted one, to the strait then back again. She would try to make it across the jungle gym, using the rope bridge etc.

But also... Don’t forget there are tons of other obstacles including a big rope bridge, and a lot of difficult balancing rope bridges. Plus, besides the jungle gym, there is tons of open space, grass and this really cool rock fountain that is never filled with water.

Definitely tons of fun and tons of kids.

The best thing about this park is, if you get bored or if the park is full of kids, there are three other great playgrounds in the neighborhood that you can swing by. One is in the same park! Kiba Park (South).

Happy Sliding!
