Hi, I am Mason; the Californian born token white guy who immigrated to Japan in 2013 and now writes about life in Japan. Mostly a Family Man and generally goofy, when I’m not working my 9-5 office job, you can see me biking around Tokyo, perusing parks for the kids or eye-balling cafes for coffee… mmm coffee!

Why I started this blog
I am writing this blog with my oldest daughter (3½) Juno. Over the years we have been to a good number of parks, but I can’t boldly say we have been to EVERY playground in Tokyo. So with that goal in mind, we created this blog. break out of my natural routine of going to the same parks, and explore what playgrounds Tokyo has to offer. Along the way, if I can even just help other families explore new parks, then the blog will have been a big success.
Hopefully, the blog will force us to break out of our normal parks and force us to explore all the playgrounds and cafes that Tokyo has to offer. Of course, on the way we are going to find our favorite swings, slides or jungle gyms, and you can keep tabs of those here at the blog.
