Hamacho Park
Hamacho Park is a great park that has a little something for everyone nicely packed into its medium manageable size.
Jungle Gym
The center of the park there is a decent size jungle gym for kids, with the basic stairs, chain roping and slide going off the side. The jungle gym is made up of two raised structures connected together with a tunnel. There are little windows in the tunnel that the kids like to peer out of before rushing to the slide.
Toddler Jungle Gym
Off to the side, there is a smaller jungle gym? slide that is perfect for my 1-year-old. She is just getting into climbing up and down stairs, so something away from the bigger kids where she can practice is perfect. It is also close enough to the other play structure that I can keep an eye on the older ones playing.
Actual Gym
The greatest perk about this park is it is attached to the Hamacho sports center. This means quick toilet runs, diaper changes, drinks, and seats are just a skip away. The best thing is, next to the gym (200yen morning special) there is an indoor kids area. Nothing special, but it’s indoors with air-conditioning and it is my secret heaven to take cover from the heat or the rain.
Juno's Favorite
For reasons unknown to me, Juno is absolutely head over heels in love with frogs. (WHY?!)This park just happens to have a green frog-like Seesaw, and she is all over it.
This one also surprised me, but we love to play on the big mound of dirt (used to be grass) next to the jungle gym. We will have races up, down and around the darn thing until the kids (me) are too pooped and we have to go home.
