I'm on my way to a coffee shop to read a book. Yes, a book!
When was the last time that you read a book? I read books all the time. I read paper books. I read magazines. I read manga. I also read E-books as well, but I find that I enjoy the paper books so much more. The thing I like about paper books. The feel, between your fingers holding the book. The weight of the book. Reading a book late at night and falling asleep to it. Book's over your face. The smell of books. Old books, new books, magazines, they all have a smell. Even looking for books, scanning the library shelves, the book covers, the textures. There's just something more satisfying, for me, about a real book as opposed to a E-book, which are cool too. Right, they're both cool for different reasons.
I like E-books. They're really convenient. When you're traveling, even going to work. They're easy, right? You can put hundreds on your devices, thousands even. You can find them anywhere and at any time. So, those are some good points about E-books.
Alright bro, this was just a quick stop to get outta the wind, so I could like, talk to you. Face to face, eye to eye, right. I really want my coffee, then we can get into holidays, cool. Alright man, coffee shop's just over here, so let's get outta here, cool. Alright.
Holidays. I like holidays, man. I really do. Birthdays, 4th of July, Halloween, New Year's. I think most holidays are really cool. Thanksgiving, that's one I love. So, my thing, my issue with Valentine's Day, it's a Hallmark holiday, completely fabricated. It's for selling chocolate, flowers, and cards, that's it. Either they're made to make money off of you not having a significant other, or girlfriend, boyfriend, lover, friend. Or, they're made to make money off of you having a girlfriend, boyfriend, significant other, lover, friend. Just naw, no, no.
If you wanna say I love you and I care about you, do it everyday. You should be telling your family, your friends, your lovers, your husbands, your wives, people should be telling each other "you're special and I love you" everyday. Not just Valentine's Day. There shouldn't be a special day for that.
You remember in San Francisco, they had like the anti-Valentine's Day. I was just against that as I am against Valentine's Day. They're both made to make money off of somebody else's, off of somebody else.
So there you have it, what I think about Valentine's Day. But while I have you, gotta question. So, are you a book guy or a E-book guy? Either way, just curious. What's your take? Alright man, see ya next week. I got some reading to do.
